Abstract Submission Rules & Guidelines


Please read below rules and guidelines carefully before you submit your abstracts. Failure to observe the rules and guidelines may result in disqualification. All abstracts accepted for presentation will be published at the online programme of the European Bovine Congress 2019. This means that your presentation will have a larger audience as all delegates will be able to access the content post congress.
 

  • Please note the abstract submission deadline of April 15, 2019 (at midnight CET).
  • Abstract received after the deadline will not be accepted.

  • Abstracts can only be submitted online and in English.

  • Abstracts sent by post or e-mail will not be accepted. No exceptions will be made. 
  • Begin by filling in the information about the authors, indicating main author, co-authors (if applicable). If the main author is not the presenting author, please mark this on the online form.

  • Enter the title and select one topic and format of your submission (oral, poster, no preference). 

  • The title should have a maximum of 100 characters. The title is written as in a sentence in bold. 

  • The abstract body text should have a maximum of 2.000 characters.

  • Abstracts must contain data and meet international ethical standards. 

  • Abbreviations should be defined. 

  • Trade names cannot be mentioned in the title, however in brackets will be accepted in the abstract body text.

  • The abstract will be reproduced exactly as submitted. No proof reading will be done. 

  • Notification of accepted / rejected abstracts by e-mail to the address provided as of May 15, 2019, including possible date, time and form of the presentation (oral / poster).
  • The presenting author should register and pay for the European Bovine Congress 2019 by deadline June 30, 2019. No registration and payment received by this deadline, the presentation and publication will be removed from the EBC 2019 programme.
